airaid intake?
ok got my airaid today installed it and just took it for a drive, well feels great however its the loudest thing ive ever heard! is it supposed to be that loud? it on a 09 6.2 sierra.. is it just bc thats how much sound the horns took away on the factory intake? never had a cold air before so thats why im asking?

Yessir, generally the aftermarket CAI's are louder than the factory system, which is made with noise reduction as a consideration. The factory system has noise reducers, ribs, and thicker walled construction to help reduce noise. I remember when I installed my original K&N FIPK over 10 years ago, how much more noise it made than the Gibson cat back that I installed later that week. My current Volant closed box CAI sounds very much the same way.

yea its crazy! it sounds like its gona suck the fender off the truck! but i have to say im very pleased with the airaid and fitment! i was freaked at first for some reason my truck wouldnt start and just kept turning over and then started up the second time i tried! i did clean it with maf cleaner but it dried for an hour! now it starts normal any idea whats up with that?
