Default lost torque

I got the exhaust on the other day (2.5" true duals with 40 series flows dumped) I definately feel a loss in low end power. I did an H-pipe and put the wideband o2 in the H. Do you think an X-pipe (being more restrictive) would help revive the dead down low? I miss the torque.

Probably so .... I can always feel it pulling harder when I pull the exhaust off at the Y.

Hey Retsell, are you saying you can still feel a loss low end even with your Radix? I am just asking cause I am about to true dual my 5.3, but I was going to go with the X pipe. Then next month I am going to hopfully get my SC, an I thout it might relly help haveing true duals with a SC. If you do swap your H pipe for a X pipe, let me know if it helps it any. Cause I have been trying to find out what will really happen when I do this. Thanks

H and X just help balance exhaust gases, they are about the same in terms of performance I'd say.

I don't see why you lost power going to dual as you're FI now. Perhaps it leaned you out too much? Also recall, Flow's sound better than they flow...

Yes, I can feel a loss in low end, even with the blower.

Sweet. Are you adding a little more timing to it as well?

I had a single flowmaster since I bought the truck. When I went in to the exhaust shop I had them run true duals, ditch the cats, put in an h-pipe in between and put in two magnaflow mufflers.

IMO it sounded like ****. It sounded like 2 glass packs under water. I went back a few hours later and had him put on 2 40 series (non-delta flow) mufflers. Even though the magnaflows flow better, I now have 2 mufflers instead of 1 and no cats, so I know I doubled the flow which is more than enough, too much I think because I lost a decent amount of low end torque.
