Truck is rated at 315hp factory, my goals are, (I don't plan for all 3, just which ever one comes first) 400HP, 5.5sec 0-60, OR 13-14sec in the quarter, so far I've only got a Hypertech MaxEnergy tuner, and just got a Powerstop slot drilled rotor performance brake kit, I plan to install tomorrow.

My plans are cold air intake, aftermarket MAF, TB spacer, larger TB, true ram-air hood, MSD ignition coils, hi-flow cats, cat-back exhaust, once I do a few upgrades I plan on doing a custom tune, and two maybe's are headers and 3.73 gears (3.42 factory)

--So questions are best guess where I would be at with those upgrades? What would it take to get roughly 5.5sec 0-60? And can my factory transmission handle 400HP

Thanks for the help
theres no such thing as high flow cat...so scratch that idea
swapping mafs gains you nothing....so scratch that idea
yoru TB is already 87mm....so scratch that idea
MSD coils suck dick....so scratch that idea
TB spacer dont do nothing....so scratch that idea
hyper handheld dont do nothing....so scratch that idea

to make 400 crank you need to crack into motor

Everyone I know running 4.10-4.30 has 35's but if u say ur running 4.30's without killing fuel economy then I'll definitely consider 4.30's, I'm still debating on 32's or 33's I currently have 31.2" tires,
Only question I have about 4.30's, do u know what ur top speed is??

I've heard of a good LS tuner in my area, from a guy at a dealership can't remember his name, I live near Charleston, SC I do plan to get a good custom tune once I do a few mods

And I would do a cam if u didn't have to tear the whole motor down, I don't really wanna do much internal stuff

My average economy is still what my window sticker said when i bought it, but with my mods. Around town i average 15.5-16 and 19-20 highway. I can hit over 135mph in 3rd, or at least from my calculations. If you do any towing i wouldnt hesitate with 4.30s and 32-33's. If no towing do 4.10s. Its only 150 rpm difference or so. BlackBear performance is really good for tuning and most people on here will recommend him. He travels the country doing tuning.

I tow some so I'll do 4.30, as I said I dont wanna do much internals so I think what I'll do is 4.30 gears, Monster Transmission rated for 500hp it comes with performance servo's and all that good stuff, and engine wise will just be full bolt-on's

Skip the monster trans. If you're going to get a built 60e everyone around here will recommend Godfry or Finishline

I'd go more gear with tall tires

70Mph with 488s I'm 2200rpms with my 6spd OD

456s would work well for a 4spd

I run 5.38s with 36"s. love it.
don't get a monster trans. I have a FLT lvl6 kicking around from my old setup. trans was so good I just cant bring myself to sell it.
also you don't have to tear the whole motor down for a cam swap. its honestly not a hard thing to do at all. just sound intimidating but its really not

Run the F**K away from Monster Transmission. They took down the details of their "handshake warranty" after I outed it a couple of years ago. Nuff said.

In regards to 400HP. If you're talking crank HP, you have to open up the block and do some internal work. If you're talking 400RWHP, you have to open up the block and do a lot of internal work. You can get 400RWHP and still be street-friendly, but it takes a LOT of money put into the engine and at minimum an 80E transmission.

I'm floating right around the 400RWHP mark myself. I've obfuscated some minor details in regards to what I've done on my most recent build, though.
