Default LM7 fuel rails vs. L59

Quick question,

My passenger side fuel rail is cracked on my L59 5.3. Is there a difference between the non flex fuel rails vs the flex besides the return and fpr on the drivers side rail?

I was hoping to just save a buck and swap a standard passenger side fuel rail from a returnless 5.3 since its just passenger side. Can that be done or are there differences that limit that possibility?

I think the rails are a little different because the flex fuel injectors are taller. You may have to shim with some washers.

You talking about adding some washers under the plastic hold down bracket on the rail?

LM7 are Typically plastic, at least the older ones were.

L59 is a stainless rail for the additional ethanol content.

Well I have an 04 L59. It does not have stainless rails, although I believe 07 and newer used stainless for the flex 5.3.

And just in case anyone needs to know, if you have the plastic L59 fuel rails and you crack the passenger side rail, you can buy A standard LM7 passenger side rail and fit it to the manifold. Had to seat the injectors in the manifold first and then the rail to the injectors. Also had to put a small nut between the fuel rail plastic hold down bracket and the bolt hole on the manifold as the LM7 rail Will sit a touch higher.
