Default A little imput on 99 6.0 swap

Ok so im doing a 99 6.0 swap in my 2000 4.3 silverado. Ive got everything (ecu, mounts, pretty much every ecc. on the motor) but cam and convertor .. I was planning on running my 4L60 but i heard that the crank is longer on the 6.0 so it wont work with my trans .. any truth to that??

the heads are 873 (iron heads) .. I was planning on boosting the truck and leaving the heads on it but this 4.3 to 6.0 project is alittle more money than i thought.. lol

The crank is too long on 99-00 6.0L to use with a 4L60E transmission behind it. It will only fit with a Hybrid Converter. $$$

In 01 they went to a removable spacer and used basically the same crank as the 5.3L

01- up LQ4 6.0L you remove the spacer, flywheel, and bolts and use a flywheel and bolts from a 6.0L, 5.7L, 5.3L, or 4.8L that was bolted to a 4L60E.

I know you are on a budget and this is off topic, but you could get a set of 243/799 to bump compression up and save a little weight.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...ent-4l60e.html

After reading that Ill just go with a art carr stall and try to find a cam that will work better with a 2500 -2800 stall... Anybody have any suggestions ? I just want a 400-450hp to the wheels toy.. I might hit the drag strip once of twice but thats it..

I was told that chevy made a spacer just for this motor to use the 4l60e trans, does anybody know if this is true??
