From what someone at PAC told me the Nitrate springs are not recommended for day-to-day use. They do not last as long as the standard springs, as in spring rates and pressures over time, not breakage. He told me with that cam and the Pac 1218s they should last anywhere from 60,000-100k miles with normal use. My shift points will be set at 6200 rpm.

I'm surprised they didn't try and sell me their best spring. I gave him the cam specs from Vinci's website and also Cranes. He said the best springs bar none would be with 1218s for extended use.

I've talked to Texas Speed, Brian Tooley, PAC, Comp Cams and they all recommend a Beehive spring for my application. They all said anything over .580-.600 lift is when they would recommend a Dual Spring kit.

I will definitely set them up properly. I know that is key to them lasting.
