Whats everyones thoughts on the PAC 1904 or 1905 dual spring kits. Ive seen them around $280 with titanium retainers, hardened keeps and viton valve seals.

If going with duals go with the BTR .660 and be done. If they say your springs are good I would go with it though and not change them

I would like to just keep and LS6's and I've researched and seen a few people with same cam and LS6 springs with no problems. But I would hate to drop a valve so I'm a bit concerned lol. I have narrowed it down to 2 options if I don't keep to LS6's.

Pac-1218--Max Lift .600", 130 lbs @ 1.800", 318 @ 1.200", Coil Bind 1.140" Beehive Spring

Pac-1904--Max Lift .625", 155 lbs @ 1.780", 400 @ 1.130", Coil Bind 1.030" Dual Spring

Or maybe BTR .660's

If you were running a tooley truck cam id say sure run the ls6s because they are what he sells with his cams and what he recommends since you're going with a Vinci cam with different lines than the tooley truck cams I'd go with a set of springs the cam builder recommends

So, Roger doesn't recommend single springs but he said the LS6 would be OK...But i did some research and the Vinci 080 Ultra Torque cam seems to be the same as Crane 1449051. Now crane recommends:

99831-16 Beehive Springs, Max Lift .600", 130 Lbs @ 1.800", 318 @ 1.200", Coil Bind at 1.140", now this seems to be identical to Pac 1218's

OR

144832-16 Dual Spring, Max Lift .650", 112 lbs @ 1.800", 352 lbs @ 1.150", Coil Bind at 1.045"

I read somewhere that crane recommends to not exceed the maximum closed pressure.

Thanks for your input. I am seeing more and more guys running bigger cams with Ls6 springs without issue.

Don't forget correct install is every bit as important as the spring itself.

Choose a quality beehive spring and have at it. No need to over think it.

I'm just going to order the PAC 1218's they are cheap and will still have the longevity of the LS6's. So i guess i will selling 16 new Blue LS6 springs. Just be over it. I have been stressing this for a while now lol. PAC 1218's it is.

im rinning the pac 1218s but i also on the stock cam. i would recommend reading up on installing them correctly.

also you can use the stock retainers with the pac 1218 as the place i took my heads did. there is a psi 1511 springs that are a tad more but they seem to be a slightly better spring. because they are nitrited.

watch this a few times
