Default L96 6.0 Swap into Avalanche...what Cam?

So Im swapping out a 5.3 LMG and going with a 6.0....Goals are to keep the stock 6L80E converter and maintain decent street manners, I hardly ever tow anything so thats not really a concern. Running 93 octane is not a problem, don't really wanna spin the motor past 6k to keep the trans alive for as long as possible...Max power is not my goal more so looking for Fun Daily driver and Cam with good drivability but still makes good power....

So far Ive narrowed it down to these cams...but also open to suggestions...Keep in mind the L96 has the square port heads...

BTR Stage 1 Truck Cam - 206/212 .525/.534 114+2

BTR Stage 2 Truck Cam - 212/218 .553/.553 113+2

Cam Motion 6.0 Stage 2 Cam - 212/216 .518/.510 114

You want more duration split, especially with the rectangular port heads. What year avalanche? If you arent opposed to adding vvt, or retaining it, you will be much happier.

Its a 2013 Avalanche...I am planning on deleting the VVT

What about the Cam Motion LS3 Stage 1 cam?

If you want to keep the stock converter with that l96, you may want to rethink the vvt delete and look into a vvt cam, actually gives you more power in the lower end and you could keep the stock converter. I know with my btr ls3 stage 2 cam in my 99 the 3000 stall converter is probably about perfect. Im sure someone else will chime in, but i would say keeping vvt, which should be pretty straightforward in your 2013 as it should have vvt and dod, would be the way to go!

Id go with a BTR stage 3. Bought the furthest without a converter you can go. They do recommened a 2600-2800 but a good tuner can make it work pretty good. Those 6L80s are good trannys. Its about the temps that kill them. Also gears would help!
