Default Injector difference

Hey all.

Does anyone know if the injector clips from a 2011 5.3 flex fuel sierra are the same as a 2006 4.8l sierra?

If not, are the 2011 injector harnesses available to just be wired in?

Thanks

Brandon

They are going to be different. I believe the 2011 has EV6 style plugs. You could either find plug and play adaptors to go from the Multec II to EV6 or just wire the EV6 plugs into your factory harness. Don't quote me on the EV6 plug, but I think that's what was used on the 08+ trucks.

My NNBS intake connected to my '06 wiring just fine. It was a flex fuel to flex fuel intake swap.

At least for the 99-07 classic GMT 800 trucks

Standard used the Delphi Multi Tech II

Flex Fuel have an EV6 connector

99-06 came with Delphi multi tech and ev6/ev14 injector types. Ev6 and ev14 style injectors come on all the newer stuff 07+, but that's actually the injector style not the plug type. The plug type on the ev6/ev14 injectors is known as USCAR connection.

Only the flex fuel GMT 800 received the EV6 style

Standard had the uscar or multi tech 2 style

So there's your answer OP, if your truck is a flex fuel then the 2011 injectors will be plug and play! Worst case scenario, you'll have to invest in some injector harness adapters.

The NBS is not Flex fuel, but the 2011 was. I dont mind wiring in new harnesses, but its a build im doing for my old man, and he may want me to get conversion clips. Does anyone know a place that makes such a connector?

You guys have been a great help
