Default how much power am i losing through my current exhaust

Hi, I have a 2006 Silverado 1500 that came with an l33 5.3,

Truck has bone stock exhaust. But now has a lq9 6.0 with a 212/218 high lift version camshaft.

I am currently running a tune from a 06 Silverado ss and premium fuel. Truck is quicker then stock just does not blitz the tires loose off the line like I figured.

Is my stock 5.3 exhaust limiting this?

I bought new plugs and wires to install. 130k on current plugs and wires. Also bought headers and duramax 3.5" exhaust to switch too.

Just trying to get some ideas on what I should see for gains.

Thanks

You need a tune for YOUR truck not a Silverado ss that has a 6.0l

Yeah I know that. My buddy just uploaded that so I could drive truck. He was waiting for me to get exhaust and wideband in before he did anything else.

My question is the exhaust limiting potential. To where as if I had headers installed and free flowing exhaust on same tune would it wake it up a bit over the stock exhaust system

With a proper tune and free flowing exhaust, i bet you pick up 40hp.

Is that including the headers or just freeing up exhaust and a tune?

If the truck was properly tuned it would gain about 15-20rwhp with a nice cat back. With long tubes it will gain another 20-30rwhp. Keep in mind that cam shines most around 5000-6000rpm where exhaust will be of most benefit especially long tubes.
