Default Round II, 182K mile Mustang beats nitrous 6.0!

Russell's little Mustang had the answer to Brooke's challenge last night at HRP. His little 182K mile, never been off heads, stock block and cam Mustang put it on Brooke's new 6.0 nitrous truck! 13.42 to a 14.4. Russell followed that run up with a 13.32. Unfortunately Brooke's truck was unable to hold traction this time. I guess round three is in the making!

Yep, Larry YOu and Russell found a lot more power out of that old stang but round three is in the making..Yes, we jeted up the nitrous but could not get traction on any runs last night.. Wheel hop was terrible..Truck, looked like a rabbit jumping up and down..lol! The only thing to do was to let off the gas and re punch it and say bye , bye to any good ET..BTW , it was a 14.1 run not 14.4..Either way it sucked!

Did get a new best on motor only though.. 15.58 and the truck was spinning and wheel hoping on that run..

My night was not good at all.

My motor pass was slower than my old motor pass... and I have a converter and didn't spin... I'm confused! Along with the electric fans.

My n20 I ran a 13.989 since the bottle ran out half way in the run...plus I obviously had some other issues with the truck...

I plan to reset the computer, check all the plugs, make some autotap runs, and check anything else I might get worried about. Then go back out and see what happens.

Careful Brooke, you don't want to "Kaboom" your new truck from nitrous addiction.

Having problems with mine after the track too. I ran crappy times and probably bent a pushrod.

So Brad... what are you running on motor now? Just wondering if I have caught up yet.

bigKID at the moment with what happened last night you are ahead of me on motor...keep it up though. Would be cool to see a N/A internal stock truck run a 13.XXX

Current mods for motor are:
-Free mods
-electric fans
-HPP3 w/160
-ASP Pulley
-converter

Best run is still the one with only the pulley and HPP3 w/160. That run was a 1.65X or so @ 93mph. Last night it was a 1.66X @ 90mph... I had about an extra 100 pounds in the truck last night also. Weighed in at 4500 race weight.

It should run better...not too sure what the problem was/is. But I will soon find out...hope by this weekend.

at a 14.5 now.....get some nice headers and a converter with some tires and you might actually see an 13.XXX... I think it is possible to lose 6/10's with a converter/headers/tires with some really good weather and a little diet...

Correct me if I'm wrong but nobody has ran that fast yet with a stock internal 5.3L....that has made it known...

I'll get back to you after Wednesday. I should be in the 13's with stock internals...hopefully.
