Default Headers for low end torque

what headers are the best for low end torque or what are the best mods to get more torque

I got a lot of low end torque with my ASM's. I say some long tube header and some ASP pulleys will help your torque down there.

Now that I remember, I hear Doug Thorley try Y headers are probably best for low end torque.

I have the thorley headers and it improved my low end a good bit. I dont have dyno numbers though.

Are the Thorelys a direct fit or do they require cutting of stock y-pipe. Also do you have any pics?

No they are not a direct fit. You do have to cut into the Y pipe.

I don't have pics, but I'll see if I can find a digital camera. You have to cut about a half-inch in front of the cats.
