Header temp comparison between cylinders?
I checked the temp on each header tube the same spot on each one. 7 were about 280 degrees +\- 3 degrees. And 1 was about 240-245 degrees. What could cause this? Stainless tsp long tubes.

Spark plug (ac delco iridium)looks good. I put those plugs in about 20,000 miles ago when I installed the engine. Put new wires on it too because I broke that one getting it off. No check engine light. Truck seems to run fine just thought it was weird one was off by 40 degrees. It's the right rear.

Hard to say for sure, I'm not sure what the normal range is supposed to be between cylinders but 40 degrees compared to the others seems like something is up. I'm assuming this temp is at idle, not revved up?
A lot of things could affect it though, lack of spark, clogged injector, sticky valve, worn cam lobe, blown head gasket, bad rings/cylinder etc... Have you done a compression test?
I'd start with the easy things first. Swap a coil pack, swap an injector, compression test, pull a valve cover and check rocker movement etc...

A little history on the engine... I got a 5.3 with 34,000 miles installed a cam, springs, ls7 lifters, push rods, ls2 timing chain, gm head gaskets and put it in my truck to replace the high mileage one. That was about 20,000 miles ago. I haven't raced the truck. I get on it from time to time very few WOT runs.

Compression test #7 and compare it to the others. My money's on low compression on that cylinder... My #7 tested @60lbs without a mil on. No misfires, nothing, truck ran normal. Turned out to be a cracked ringland. Pull the oil cap while idling to see if it's pulling vacuum.

Your temp difference isn't that big. I doubt you have any problem. Mine was off by a 140 degrees when I had a problem and it ended up being a bad coil. Ran great at wot but idled a little rough and part throttle was a little rough.

Yeah I figured if I had a major issue there would have been a greater difference. Coils and injectors both have 295,000 miles on them so it could be either one going bad. I've been wanting to put 8.1 injectors in it because of the cam anyways. Where is the best place to find them? I've searched on eBay before and found them but how do I know which ones to get? I want them to be a direct swap into my 2001.
