35"s and 4.56s only brings you back to about stock
you say you want 0-80 to be quick and honestly gears is whats gonna do it for you. you want everything but don't want the down fall of it. not being a dick what so ever just telling you how it is.
minimum 4.88s but 5.13s would be what you want. couple that with a higher stall and cam to match and it will be a lot of fun
I have ran a 5.3 with a tsp 220 and a 3200 with my 36"s and 5.38s and yeah it was fun, after that I had a 5.3 with my current heads, 3600 stall, eps 223-226 610-605 110+4 and that was a lot more fun then went to a LQ4 with my current heads, LSXrt intake, eps 230-238 604 113 and a 4000 stall, 10.8 compression and that setup would surprise people all the time. haven't tried my new setup yet.
with all those setups my gears and converter selection is what really got my truck out of the hole hard and then cam selection helped to keep those heavy tires rolling uptop

The way I see it is my gears arent changing any time soon because it'll kill my gas and I don't want to change my stall I just bought a couple months ago so I guess I'm just looking for help on building a good solid motor that will give me what I want. High compression and high torque. And I know this won't get me 0-80 real fast but maybe it'll be enough to put me back in my seat.

Your concerned about gas mileage but you want a truck that will 0-80 quick. It takes fuel to move quick. You have to decide if gas mileage is more important than going fast. If gas mileage is a high priority, ditch the 35" tires... 6.0's aren't known for their gas mileage either.

the 2 things that will get you what you want you don't want to do.

throw a blower on top of it as soon as I find a good deal on one
also, I have 317 heads on my lq4 and 3/8 pushrods seems to be no bueno without a little clearance on the heads..stock is 5/16.

If you want reliability I would definitely invest in some good bearings like clevite h series regular or coated. I have the coated ones and beat the dog **** out of em and they have barely worn. That and some ARP rod bolts and you'll have a solid bottom end for your application.
