Let's back up a little, how much money are you wanting to spend? With what you listed you could spend 20-30k pretty easy

Like I said i'm open to all ideas, yall guys are alot more experienced then I am, honestly I was expecting to drop around 12k in this, thats with me doing all the install and everything, only thing I wont be doing is any machine work or tuning, everything else is on me, so lets redo this a little bit, say you guys had a stock truck 4.3 silverado and was swapping in the 6.0, what would be your build plans for a fun street truck that still will be plenty of competition with the local rides in my town like camaros with bolt ons or 5.0s and gt500s with bolt ons, thats all i ever see around my town, thats why i went with the idea of a rcsb build, i enjoy being different somewhat(i know im not the first one ever to do this though0

Well in that case I would do a 6.0 with forged pistons and rods with 9.5 SCR compression, stock heads with upgraded springs, and a cam (theres $4k ish). Dont forget you need to repin your harness or get the complete wiring stuff from the donor truck. A BWs475 turbo kit from kyle or rick ($4k ish). Misc stuff for fuel system ($1k). 4l80e with converter ($2k). Caltracs/assassin bars ($400). Spend the rest on tuning or buying hptuners.

$2,000 for built 4l80 with converter sounds a little low, unless youre going to build it yourself....

This is all ballpark of course

I was thinking junkyard/craiglist unit with a shift kit to hold him over.

Like I said, the stuff he mentioned is really a 20-30k budget.
