a cam of that size doesn't kill your mileage much, what does do the damage is the converter size 3k and up. If you're going for a TB stall it wont kill your mileage that much either. now keep in mind what also determines your mpg is your tune, making sure air/fuel ratio is where it's supposed to be and stuff like that, so make sure you a get a good tuner... there's a couple guys here on pt.net that do mail-in tunes and do a pretty damn good job at it.

I lost about 1-2 mpg with my cam. It's considered a baby cam for a 6.0 though.

I average about 8 in the city and anywhere from 12-15 on the highway depending on how hilly or flat it is. The 4l80e seemed to hurt the gas mileage more than anything though.

I actually got really good gas mileage in my 5.3 crew cab. But I was running a 216/220 114 LSA with 3.90's and 2500 stall. Usually averaged about 18-20 75% highway miles.

Thats a pretty big cam for a 4.8 liter, even with a TB stall its going to suffer in town, especially with the 20's. The 3.23's will help the mileage highway.

As far as the tb stall being enough for that cam. No not really, I've known some running the 4.8's with 220/220 using 3200+ converters.
