I plan to run supreme gas all of the time in mine. You'd still make great power without milling them and could run regular gas. But if you're going for power, mill them. ITs always hard to find that perfect balance between power and drivability as a daily driver. That perfect balance is what I'm trying to find with my build.
I will mill them then when the time comes. Is 93 octane good enough for a 10.6:1? That is as high as I can get at the pump.

Thanks again for your help.

Sure 93 will work, thats what I use. The important part will be your tune.

Update: This motor has been running great as a daily driver (that gets beaten) on for that past two months. My tune isnt perfect, but is doing the job for now. I spent a while trying to learn how to tune, but realized that I just dont have the time yet.

Here's an update video on the truck. Its got a run at the drag stip in it, but not a good run. It was launching in second gear.

Now here's the good juicy video of a bunch of hard pulls one evening:

Well Holley LS Fest has come and gone and I usually take the oportunity to get a dyno run in on my current project there. I did get this truck on the dyno there but didnt get any numbers becasue the trans kept downshifting and I didnt have HPT with me to lock it inot 3rd. I do hope to get on a local dyno in about a month though. I'm itching to see where it stands. It doesnt have a perfect tune still, but I think it should do well.

This is the "After LS Fest Update Video". We had a great time there and gave away a 5.3.

Thanks man! I believe quality family time is very important. Life is too busy and goes by too quickly. We've got to make them part of our activities.

The kids love it. Last year it was blue painters tape and the year before was actual spray paint that they helped sand off. Good times man!

Yea man, that was exciting. They were pretty cool guys. I'm planning to go check out John Buchard's Shop soon. Hopefully I'll get video of that as well.
