Default Lingenfelter Silverado in CHP..

In the new Chevy High Performance mag there's a write-up on a late model Chevy reg-cab 5.3L. John L. put on:

Magnacharger (5.5#)
Port&Polish 6.0 heads (I think 2.02/1.60 valves)
Custom cam (Something like 205/211 .536/.536 116LS)
LPE headers (not sure if LT or shorty)
Catback & KN filter
ET Streets tires
and I think it had a 2400 stall in it.

They ran it in average weather and got a few low 13.0x runs and two 12.9x @ 106mph passes. Best 60' was 1.8xx

I just skimmed over the article, but it looked like a pretty good setup.

I just read it, very good article.

I assume that blower will fit on a Denali/Escalade?

Suddenly getting an SUV doesn't seem so bad.

I was hoping for much stronger numbers...head swap w/ P&P, custom blower cam, wipple charger with pulley, Lingenfelter LT headers, cat back and tires. Check out the sig I've got mere 2K in mods and am running on par with street tires.

Yeah but LPE is not working on a bang/buck approach.

Nice times btw with your Silverado...

I also read the article. Pretty cool to see some of the performance mags getting their act together and realizing that there are alot of us out there that enjoy hotrodding our trucks and suvs just as much as our cars. BTW, I agree , times were kind of dissappointing for the amount of mods done. Probably could have used more converter, and cranked up the boost for the article. We have several of 99+ 5.3 trucks around here running in the 12.50 range with stock heads and cam with a little nitrous.
