Default Engine swap 07 Avalanche - lift body?

It's time to swap the engine out/in my 2007 Avalanche. I just watched some youtube videos of a guy pulling an engine out of a 2007 Tahoe. The thing that caught my attention was him having to drop the front differential and pull the steering shaft to get the engine out. If I am going to need to do that it might just be easier to lift the body up so I can pull the engine/trans up over the front diff and out of the truck? When I did the fuel pump in my old truck I pulled the bed, that was easier than dropping the tank. Looking at some body lift videos it looks like there are only about 12 bolts that hold the body and frame together.

Any recommendations or advice from folks that have done this vintage of Avalanche, Tahoe, or Suburban?
