Electric Exhaust Cutouts
#11
I have Flowmasters now, but the inlet and outlet are offset so I know the performance from them isn't as good as straight through mufflers. Which is why I want to install Cutouts so I can keep the sound of the exhaust and open the Cutouts when I want more power. No one has a recommended system?

I'm using a QTP 3.5" cutout. The new style (read: double o-ring seal motor) is much more heat and water-resistant than the first generation they had out about 7 years ago. Mine has been running for about 2 years now without issue.
Just be sure to get a can of SeaFoam Deep Creep and lube the plate/shaft while hot and cycle the cutout a couple of times to get it settled in. This needs to be done monthly for best reliability.
