Joey I figured that as well with respect to the cam phasing. My rig is 6000 lbs 2whl drive midrange torque is what it needs most. The top end seems a bit weak though so in lieu of a cam swap I was curious if changing the advance in the 4000-6000 range might wake things up. I am seldom over 2500 rpm though. Just a nice to have when I want it. You can tune it all you want but cannot actually see or log the effects of the changing. My mpg increase and overall drive ability are 10x better than stock now. I can run with traffic from a light without breaking 2100 rpm and very easy throttle. Fine when empty or not towing. Also trans is not longer overly busy on grades on the highway making unnecessary fuel sucking downshifts from 6th to 4th at 70-80mph just yo keep pace on a slight grade or headwind. My mpg is nearly un believable for 6.0 now. 12.6-13 city w traffic and even a few engines in the box going to and from the machine shops. 19 highway on 90 mile trips staying under 77mph. I run only 93 Octane.

trans is a 6L90 and engine is a 6.0 L96 VVT non EFM.

Ok update and good news. The guys at EFI Live showed me what to do to get the PIDs working for logging the E78. It works!
File>Connect
Select the E78 controller

This is where no PIDs would show for my ECM at this point do the following.
Info> Validate PIDs

POOF working..

With the modified tune I am running so far at 83% throttle under 3000 RPM in 3rd gear I only saw a brief 2.4 degree KR during the entire 20 minute drive on a fully warmed engine. At least im not losing my hearing and or seat of pants "intuition" my tune is really nice. I havent done any WOT tuning other than timing changes or messed with fueling or cam phasing yet. The MPG and overall power increase are great. Only notice a brief spark dip right at the shift point but by shortening the shifts by 35% there is a much smaller window of torque cut during the gear change. Honestly its plenty effective and with the pressures turned up to the clutches can get loose on a 1-2 or 2-3 upshift. I actually turned some of the pressure at the higher end back down as I dont have any need to shock the >>> out of my driveline or kill the 6L90.
