driver side rocker arms wont tighten?

Default driver side rocker arms wont tighten?

The title says it all. I am completely confused on why this is happening if someone could help me out that would be awesome.

Do the bolts just keep spinning? Have you pulled them back out to check the threads in the head and on the bolt?

they will get tight enough that you cant spin them by hand but they wont get any tighter than that. and the threads looked okay

At a certain point they will start compressing the springs, what length pushrods are you using??

im using stock everything so i think they are 7.4s. and yes im using the stands

Take a step back and re-evaluate everything you've done. There's something you're overlooking. Compare EVERYTHING to the other side too.

So when the get tight enough you cant turn them by hand do they just spin or are they just really tight?

they just wont get any tighter. they dont get tight enough to reach 22 ft-lbs

At some point, they will contact the valve and some of them will compress the spring and open the valve.... And there should be some preload on the pushrod/lifter. what did you do to the engine?? Did you have the ither side off as well??
