From a technical stand point wouldnt the clearanced part of the header act as a venturi, in essence speeding up the flow??? Kinda like an orifice tube in an ac system..... Again sure a full exhaust system wiuld probably make a difference, but so does fuel system, transmission, tires, gears etc etc etc.....

just makes me wonder if we are all being overly critical of out exhaust setups

It scared me that they were beating them with the sledge while their bolted to the alum heads .
