Default Cone Engineering Header Collector Kit

If anyone was ever interested in one of their kits I recently bought one and installed it on the cheap Cal-Speed headers I bought. The idea behind the kit is to add a merge collector with scavenger spikes followed by a transition cone. There apparently is a lot of science behind the entry angle of the primaries, length of collector, spikes and angle of transition cone. I'll leave that to the professionals. I simply ordered a 304 stainless kit to put on my headers. Its a straight forward process and thought I would show a few pictures of my results. I also added a ball/socket flange for easy installation. I do still have to weld in the o2 bungs but I am waiting to verify best fitment before I punch the hole.

If you have a few hours and some money to spare it might be worth it.

Nicely done. What kind of power are you shooting for with these?

Thanks. It was nice to get paid to do it at work lol. We've had some downtime and I had the parts for a few months so I decided to get it done at an opportune time.

I have JBA shorties and a Jeg's off road Y right now so the truck should pick up power everywhere I would imagine. For right now I'll use the Y pipe on the 5.3 but when the LQ4 goes in I'm running true duals with an X pipe. All custom as well. That's a ways off but whenever I do that I'll post a thread and pics. For now all the money is going into my 08 Vette lol. Mast LS3 heads and a Cam Motion custom cam is on the way as we speak. Hoping to claim the #1 spot on the list. We shall see.
