Default building a monster drag

Hey everyone im new to the forums here and have some questions. I am looking to build up my weekend warrior. It is an 03 gmc 1500 with 6inch lift and 35" tires. Drivetrain and motor are stick except for CAI and exhaust. I need help on how to make this truck as fast as possible on a semi budget. I was thinking new gearing like 4:56?, cam and maybe supercharger kit down the road. Any suggestions would be great.

Gears is a great idea. Also an 80e swap with 2800 stall.

Glad to see someone else is building a monster out or their big truck I'm on the same search you are, about to buy my LS9 cam all the little goodies to go along with it. Granted I'm starting out a step ahead with a 6.0 and 4L80..

mine is more then a budget build but it moves very well for a big truck
if you want the most bang for your buck gear wise then 5.13s will tie you over till you add power

What kind of mileage are you getting with all that work and gears? Sorry to steal your post OP.
