Default Broke fuel pump connector... HELP PLEASE

So long story short I had the bed off of my 2008 Silverado trying to fix a evap p0446 code. I already replaced the evap canister and the problem persists so I decided to go over all the lines and check the canister..... Well I was checking the lines and I just nudged the fuel line that goes to the fuel rail from the pump and the connector at the pump just snapped .

My truck is a 4.8 with a TR224 cam and BTR Dual springs and all other bolt-ons. So this leaves me with a big question do I order a flex fuel pump and regulator and enjoy the small upgrade or should I epoxy it and put a walbro pump in the housing, should I get a housing from a junk yard and upgrade that pump... All input is appreciated.

I would not Epoxy a fuel line like that. That's a Fire waiting to happen.

I would replace the unit.

If your gonna replace it I would probably use the Flex Fuel unless you plan to Set up above its capabilities in the near future.

Understandable, is the 300 bucks best spent buying the flex-fuel stuff? Or should I go with a used bucket and upgrade the pump?

I am not all that familiar with the GMT900's.

Besides the pump assembly what else would you need?

The OEM stuff seems to to go 100K without issues. So unless you need a higher out put or plan on building something that will exceed the OEM pump capabilities, I would not hassle with it. I have seen guys use various pumps in the OEM bucket but they don't seem to have the same longevity as the OEM stuff.

I have never used the aftermarket pumps so I can not comment other than what I have seen and heard.

Well if thats the case, Maybe you can purchased a used one as you mentioned. When you're ready, stick a bigger pump in the bucket.

I know you can get less expensive pump assemblies but I see the Ac Delco units for around $250

Hell I even found this one for $226.90
