Default bought 00 Silverado 6.0

A little confused on what the guy told me was done. It is supposedly an lq4 bored .030 over and built to ls6 spec. How is that when a ls6 is a 5.7?

Ok a lq4 bored 0.030" over is a 370. Did he put ls6 heads, intake on it or an ls6 cam?

Has ls6 cam and 853 heads with yellow springs. I thought it was 370 just confused on "ls6 spec"

Are the 853's the perimeter bolt valve cover heads? The ls6 had 243 heads

He probably put a ls6 cam and heads on it. That is very close to the TBSS except the lq4 has less compression. Probably around 390-400 hp at the crank.

Supposedly has the same pistons ls6 also. I guess that's what had me confused. How ls6 5.7 pistons fit in a bored over 6.0

And if only 390-400 to crank, what will put me at 425-450 at the wheels? I was thinking ported 243/799 heads and a nice matched cam. But not sure if that'll even get me close. And I've already had to do the 80e swap.

It doesn't have the same pistons, A LS6 is a 3.90 bore and a LQ4 is a 4.0 bore.

You have that backwards, Crank HP will be higher then RWHP. Therefore 390-400 crank HP would be more like 320-330 RWHP. But this is just benchseat racing. So with Longtubes, TBSS intake with 90mm TB, A custom grind cam and a dyno tune would get you to 400-425whp.
