Who all is running a black widow? I plan on doing long tubes headers and y-pipe with no cats. Listened to a bunch of videos on YouTube and their website. I was thinking the venom 300. Probably no drone like they advertise but sometimes they sound very raspy. Any body running a resonator in front of a black widow? would like to hear it. Otherwise I might just have to stick to a magnaflow.
Also doing stall converter and tune with this.

Had Venom 300's on two trucks. Both were pretty raspy/obnoxiously loud. (long tubes and off road y pipes) And they did drone. They sound better if they were through cats or a resonator. Ditched them and went to Magnaflow's

Ok, thanks for the reply. Thought about trying something new but from what you described I'm not gonna care for. Guess I'll stick to what I know I like.

i have ran the original pro venom, the new pro venom and now i am running the widow maker. i fkn love there mufflers. the widow maker sounds amazing. zero drone on the highway and quite while cruising. but barks when you want it to.

He does have a turbo though, turbo's do help with some sound before the muffler.

I'd still think a resonator before the muffler would help a ton with rasp/drone and not hurt the sound enough. I've run the vibrant ultra quiet resonator on a different setup but they work awesome.

Im running a venom 250 with longtubes and o/r y pipe. Sounds wicked! Love it, has some drone only bc I'm in a SUV and location of muffler. But I don't mind

I can handle a little drone, I mean I almost expect it a little. But I don't want it to sound raspy or have that stupid redneck cackle.
