My truck is a 2004 rcsb 2wd. It currently has a set of cheaper stainless headers that I installed not to long ago, but I've had nothing but fitment issues with. After replacing the motor and trans mount to hope to correct this, nothing has changed. So I figure my next step is to try a higher end set and see if that will cure the issues.

With that being said, any input on any of the brands is much appreciated. I'm leaning towards the stainless works as of now because they have a set just for 03-06 trucks, while the other two are listed for 99-06. Timmy knowledge there is nothing different between the years, but maybe they know something I don't. Anyway, thanks in advance guys.
Pacetter is a great budget header all around.. this is my second set on 2 diff builds, a 4x4 ecsb and now sbrc with over 600 rwhp😈.... only downfall is 1 3/4" primary's , but they flow great 👍🏼

Didn't read that far along. I haven't had any fitment issues on mine and I swapped in an lq4 stroker on my '10cc besides just a small cut and arrange on the y pipe where it crossed over the trans crossmember

I also have owned tsp headers as well and they fit just fine as well

I'd just try tweaking things with what you got and get it to work besides dropping another stack of cash just go a shot in the dark to see if it changes your issues

What exactly is the issue you're running into with fitment? I'm sure someone has probably had a similar problem and found a fix you could try out

My Kooks fit nice, however if you read above there are people with the same headers as me and they hit. There are numerous frame configurations so its pretty much a toss up.

I've been running 2" f-body Kooks on my truck. They are not a bolt on deal. Modifications needed.

I still don't see them offering 1 7/8s with a 3 inch collector for their 03-06 set up, only the 1 3/4 and 2.5 collector. I didn't notice that before and it kind of turns me away from them. I'd like to eventually have a mid 10 second dd truck and don't really want to have to spend that kind of money on headers twice if they become to big of a restriction.

They are hitting on the steering shaft in two different spots, and are pretty much laying on the frame on the passenger side. Also hit on the trans crossmember. I was told a new set of motor mounts should fix these issues, but after replacing them the issues are still there. I've talked with speed engineering and they really can't seem to come up with a reason for why the fit the way they do.

I got the 1 7/8 primary ARH... The only thing I had to do is trim the little "ear" off the side of the transmission on the 4l80 to make them fit.. I rerouted the wires on the starter just to make sure there was enough room. Other than that, there was a ton of room.
