I have stock cats and manifolds going to a round xr1 to turn down before axle. I want it a little louder but not like crazy loud during normal driving. Anyone running this type of setup? I'll probably cut the cats and have them extend my turndown to behind the axle to make it just a little bit less on the cab? I like my xr1 because it's quiet at idle and driving but over 3500k it really starts to wake up. Will cutting the cats make the lower rpms way to loud

It will be noticeably louder, plus you will experience some drone and rasp.

I've got stock manifolds with 3" catback to XR1 16" oval dumped before axle and it's not loud at all. Miniscule drone at 40-45. Waiting to do long tubes next with 3200 stall
