Anybody running 4" mbrp exhaust
I am getting close to putting the 408 in my truck. I just ordered the speed engineering 1 7/8" headers and am going to build my own 3" to 4" y-pipe with a 4" mbrp exhaust for a duramax truck. Just wondering if anybody has done something similar to this and how it sounds and performs.

I have the 4" MBRP duramax exhaust on mine.
The muffler that came with the kit was 15" long and hardly did anything for sound reduction. It was almost as loud as with open downpipe. I replaced it with a Magnaflow diesel muffler.
Otherwise, the quality of the kit was very good, bolt on.

Just installed my 4" mbrp exhaust. Bought it from http://4wheelonline.com/MBRP_Exhausts.97283. So far, I like it. Loud yet not raspy. Everyone can hear me coming down the road. My buddy has the 5" and it sound deeper than mine.

I had the MBRP. It was what came on my 07 Z when I bought her from private seller.... The collector ended up failing where the pipe goes into the cannister and made an aweful cricket screech..... I removed and replaced with the no fail, reputable, comparable in sound 2-chamber flowmaster muffler.... Love that sound, with a lower interior drone than MB-R-POOP..... (just my experience)
Good ole Flowmaster has "NEVE LET ME DOWN".....
