Default 6.0 Cam Swap

This is my first post here. I am looking into doing a cam swap on my truck. Nothing too crazy. I have been looking at a few other threads similar to what I'm looking for. Anyways, I am looking for a cam with a great lope sound at idle that doesn't take away too much low end. I probably wont rev it much past 6000 maybe 6200. Right now I have shift points set at 5900 with the stock cam. It is a stock LQ4 with parts listed in my sig, nothing special. I plan on doing the torque converter later on when I get the money, but for now just the cam, new valve springs, and a new tune after the install. I also tow a decent sized toy hauler once in awhile to the desert and back so I don't want to lose too much low end. I also don't want to go too big on the lift. I was going to use stock pushrods. Here are some possible cams ive been looking at:

Trick Flow® Track Max® Hydraulic Roller Camshafts for GM LS TFS-30602002 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing
Trick Flow® Track Max® Hydraulic Roller Camshafts for GM LS TFS-30602003 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing
COMP Cams XFI RPM High Lift Camshafts 54-426-11 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing
COMP Cams XFI RPM High Lift Camshafts 54-428-11 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing
I like the idea of the thumpr cams, but not sure how they perform:
COMP Cams Thumpr Hydraulic Roller Camshafts 54-601-11 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing

Let me know if you guys have any other suggestions for it. And for later on down the road, which torque converter should I get for my 4l80e? I don't want to spend too much on it. I have a guy that will install everything for $700 and tune it for $300.
Thanks.

I have the 54-426-11 comp cam in my truck, i like they way it sounds at idle, however my setup i lost a lot of low end with it iver my stock 5.3.... But my max hp/tq numbers came at about 5300 rpm so it really isnt that bad, if i had gone with cathedral port heads rather than the rectangular ports i went with i think i wouldve been better off.... But it is a good cam aside from my diving head first into something i thought i knew more about....

I will be keeping the stock heads most likely and a different stall converter would be a ways down the road. Ive heard that the stock stall on a 4l80e is 2600 anyways? My tuner also recommended I buy some ls1 zo6 springs. Stock pushrods alright?

Most of the time with lift in the .560-.590 ish range they recommend 918 spring which are typically good til .600 lift, not sure what the z06 springs are rated at.....would invest in a set of hardened pushrods.... Cheap insurance seen too many boogered up factory pushrods.... Not sure of 4l80 stock stall but cant imagine its that high....

Oh yeah and the low end already kinda sucks from a dead stop because of the tall first gear that the 4l80e has... Doesn't even wanna spin the tires in sand even with my 4.56's

For your needs most shelf cams wont give you everything you need. Generally a lopey shelf cam will want more revs that you do while wide open. Cams that are designed to peak at 6100 or so often times do not have much chop.

You should probably have something spec'd to tailor your needs.

What about the BTR stage 3 and stage 4 truck cams? Anyone had experience with them? I like that they don't have too high of lifts which wouldn't be as hard on my valvetrain. Also, is it possible to have the stall changed in a stock converter or is there another cheap alternative besides spending $1000 on a TC?

And if I do decide to rev it higher at WOT, what is a safe rpm for a stock lq4?

Or would it be smarter to do the TC first and then get a cam later?

There are less expensive options for higher stall converters, wanna say most of the converter manufacturers offer something in the $4-500 range.... Converter would probably be wise decision but you need figure out what cam you plan to use and get converter accordingly....
