Got her together and back in the truck. She runs good but just doesn't feel peppy as the 5.3 did. Have not got it tuned yet but trying to decide now if it would be better to change the injectors over to the ones that came out of the 6.0. Thoughts anyone? Running the 12480033 cam with 243 heads.

What lbhr are the 6.0 injectors vs the ones you have now, and that cam is more likely than not going to need a tune... What converter did you end up with???

Kept the 4L60 convertor. With the 5.3 crank she bolted right up. 6.0 injectors are from a 2000 2500HD truck. Don't know the flow numbers on them.

As far as I have seen, 4.8/5.3/6.0 all use the same injectors. (24#/hr most years)

It should feel much better after a tune. When I went from 5.3 to 6.0 in my old truck - it felt "soggy" for lack of a better term - down low. But as speed increased, you could tell it wanted to go. After a quick street tune, whole different animal.

Needs a tune! The factory 5.3 tune is specific to that displacement.

If you look at a factory tune you will see a spot where is ask for the Displacement for its calculations.
