2006 Gmc Sierra 4.8 4wd exhaust help
Hey There! My Exhaust On My Truck is shot as the muffler decided to fall off and take the tail pipe with it. figured id check out the rest of the system while i was under it and noticed the whole thing is rough. with that being said I'm gonna do a full custom exhaust.
The Plan is to do headers and then true dual exhaust with electric cutouts. I also Need to run cats per mass state law.
Does anyone have any recommendations on what to run for headers, cutouts, cats, and mufflers? would like to be as loud as possible, my neighbor has an accord thats just obnoxious and sounds like **** so i would to overwhelm that. Any feedback would be great.

On my buddy's VMax we did Speed Engineering full lengths and factory sized dual piping to the rear. It ran OK. Recently he bought a 4" single exhaust so we cut the Y pipe at the widest part and welded on a 3.5" to 4" adapter and ran the rest of the 4" cat back. The truck picked up a ton of power everywhere. Just food for thought on duals vs a single exhaust.
Also, be prepared for some header bolts to break off when you remove the manifolds. His was an 06 as well and 3 of them broke.
