I just got the truck and was curious for mods that would give me an improvement on the MPG... Any ideas or recommendations please?

Full tune up and a light foot.

If it has mud tires or big aftermarket rims/tires, remove them to gain back mileage. Otherwise it's still a truck and it's going to get truck mpg. Figure 13-16 city and 18-20 on the open road doing 70 mph.
