Default 1992 k1500 6.0 and NV4500 swap

Hey guys, have been in the RAM game for a while but new to the forum and GM performance. I just bought a 92 k1500 with a TBI 350 and nv3500 that I'll be building to ride in the woods and use in the mud. I'm gathering the parts now to do the swap in the spring. I'm planning on a fully bolted 6.0 which will be what I can get cheaper of the two...either a LQ9 or a LQ4 with 243 heads and will do a custom grind cam in the neighborhood of 217/225 .605/.612 112 LSA. I'll prob keep the NV3500 for a brief period while I work out any bugs with the 6.0 swap and then I plan on throwing in a NV4500. Any feedback or thread links to similar swaps are appreciated. One question I have is what year NV4500 should I go with? I've been searching the past few days and have found conflicting info on their gear ratios, minor changes over the years, etc. Thanks guys!

Found a local LQ9 with harness and all accessories out of an 05 escalade that only has 61k miles for $1.4k. I know some of you guys talk about buying them for $1k or so but this is the best deal I have found for the mileage and considering it's so close. Most of the LQ9's I find for under $1.5k are a long distance away and/or have 100k+ miles at the least. What do you guys think about that price?

ls1truck.com has a lot of info for your build. I would say you payed a decent price for that motor.

Thanks man. I actually just signed up over there too but haven't browsed around yet. I should be gathering the rest of the parts and getting the swap going around mid to late March

What you guys think of the cam I ordered? It's a 215/223 .604/.610 on a 108 LSA. I'm sticking with the 317 heads and not milling them or anything.

A few more parts and I'll be good to go....on track to swap end of March

No problem man lol.

Should be a cool project but I'm no guru on cam specs yet, can't help there.

Lol yeah, cams aren't my strong point. 4th gen Rams dont benifit from a cam due to tuning at this point so it's been several years since I've even thought about cams....and then I just went with an out of the box 268. Was just hoping to get a cam experts opinion on drivability, power range and such

Well, looks like I'll be picking up a 14 bolt too. Did the first clutch dump last night and bam...broken rearend. I haven't popped it open yet but I'm guessing it's the g80 limited slip. The yard that I got the motor from has a semi floating 6 lug 14 bolt with limited slip and 3.73 gears that I'll prob pick up.
