Default 180 degree thermostats for new 6.2L?

Anyone know if there are any 180 degree thermostats available for new 6.2L? I can't seem to find anything. This thing runs at 210 stock.... I wanna drop the temps down some b4 I get my tune...

Also what is the easiest/cheapest way to get my hands on a service manual?

you can use the 04 and up style , they are a bit smaller but will work.

Looks like the 2007+ trucks use a different stat...

Couldn't find a 180 Here is the one I bought...http://www.slponline.com/view_product.asp?P=100229

I hear stocker is a 190 stat but the temp gauge shows 210 on the dash (20* warmer)...Hopefully the 160* stat gets me 180* coolant temps….I don’t want to go any lower than than 180 on the coolant temps. I get Hptuners tomorrow. I'll log the b4 and after.....

the thermostat is bigger, i swapped water pumps on my truck to a 07+ style water pump and i used the 160 that i had in my 04 water pump. it was a bit smaller but still sealed fine.

Kewl...thanks for the info. Whay kinda coolant temps are you running with that 160 stat? Any idea what the Tq specs are or did you just snug it up pretty good with a 1/4'' rachet?

BTW bad **** truck...who did the custom exhuast, I noticed the mandrel bends...

i had a well known shop do the welding and bends , i just supplied them with what i wanted to use

yeah just snug them up good-n-tight. with my setup im seeing around 177-185 ect's. depends how hot it is. when it gets over about 90 the ect's are almost exactly 100 degrees more than , so if its like 100 out my temps will be almost 200 but cooler than 90 they stay in the 177-185 range. i had to re program my e fans to turn on at 185 and off at 177 though.
