10k will get you trans, converter, and rear end. I have a jakes stage 4 and a Yank triple disk. $5k total. With your money I have 5k for rear end, driveshaft, and extras ( remote trans cooler, etc)

Going to run a 7675 cea. My turbo kit is built, turbo bought. Trick hot side, custom stainless 3" cold side. 5.8 - 6k. Add another thousand for a turbo that will make 1k rwhp with a 6.0 and not maxed out. Then a few hundred for a bigger down pipe, cuz 3" inst going to cut it.

I already have billet fuel rails and an adjustable afpr. Let say that was ~$400. 80# 5.0 motor sports black ops injectors and 2 walbro 450s, I spent ~1100. I'd prob get the 120# injectors to run e85. So that bumps the money to $1800.

So, that put total spent ~ $19k That leaves $5k. We all know whatever you planned to spend on a project, add at least 2k. So 25k budget isn't going to cover everything. But like Atomic posted, it gets you damn close.

Don't get how 1000'horses to the ground is like some kind of unicorn on this site. There's some well documented threads of guys doing with stock rotating assemblies, over and over again. Even when George was stroking his epeen a about a hypothetical 1500, I was like ppl I know put that power down a couple years ago...with smaller turbos. I know a guy with a '02 ss putting down 950 with a f1 through a stock crank 370. Been making that power since '09.
Everybody online is making 1k. It's EASY.

But at all the time I've seen at the track, where are they? Crickets.

I have FIRST hand experience at this. I have slowly been trying to work my way up after I realized it wasn't as easy as the hype. I personally feel like I have a **** ton of money in my build and it is not near what a lot of other guys have done.

1k streetable is not an easy goal. I'm sure it can be done. But not just a simple project.

Man, didn't want to imply that I think its easy. I think its harder to make the money to get it built right though.

I will say it is easier than 5 years ago. Just because of all the build threads people have online. Guys like you have taken the guess work out of all thats needed to do it. Id say maybe one of the hardest things, these days, is finding a tuner that wont **** up what you have put together.

Why they aren't at the track? I don't know. Full of ****, don't want to spend Friday night at Royal Purple, or don't live around here.

Also don't want to imply that I have a problem with some china forged parts. Because if mine don't want to hold together, all my budget will allow is china forged parts, lol.

I didn't mean to imply it was a stupid question. My posts where given simply for educational examples to show what I can do with certain amount of dollars.

One thing I do agree with George on is that my decision to spend the money I've spent for what I have was stupid if you want to look at et per dollar or rwhp per dollar buy going not to a turbo set up. So I guess in that regard my opinion on this matter is probably less significant than what the turbo guys would say. 1000 to the ground with a procharger is a much different game than 1000 to the ground with a turbo(s).

I was just trying to express the fact that owning/driving/racing anything that puts a legit 1000 hp to the ground isn't as maintenance free as your wife's civic. Aside from that, show me one guy that bought a car, put a driveline in it that made 1000 to the tire and then never changed anything from that point on and just enjoyed it for years to come. I'm sure there are some out there, but they are a well talented rare breed of individual.

I think you hit the nail on the head with the maintenance part. 1000rwhp is man territory and you have to constantly be climbing all over the engine and setup to check things, this goes for anything at that level, LS, SBC, BBC, etc.

Its kind of like the guys that bash on stroker engines in stock blocks. Yea they have more piston wear, but who the hell keeps a 4 oh whatever without breaking it or selling it more than 100,000 miles?
