Default 05 ccsb 2500 6.0 cam

Hey guys. I have read a million posts on this but everyone's situation is different. My truck is a farm truck, but it is still my toy. I need to be able to tow but I want more bottom end out of it. Seems like the torque kicks in at about 3200 rpm. Running dual stick exhaust with glass packs. Gutting the cats made a world of difference with this truck. I want to play and have some lope but I still need to be able to use it.
I'm also thinking about getting the heads shaved some, but don't know much about it. Any thoughts?

More than likely you won't pick up any of the "stump pulling" torque you are most likely looking for down low from a cam. Pretty much every cam will move the torque curve up in the rpm range. Something small like a 212/218 or similar would give you a nice bump in power but almost all gains will be made above 3k RPM. Increasing the compression however will add power all over the place.

A set of longtubes and a custom tune will make a world of difference

Ive been reading alot for awhile on the same subject. I finally broke down and ordered a 210/216 0.532 110 for my 1500HD ccsb on 35's from Jarrod (Stock48). This will be my third cam from him and all of them have performed awesome. This will be cam only stock manifolds setup with cai and single 3.5" exhaust after muffler. Like you im hoping for more bottom end and a better power curve.
