Default Tru Cool Cold Weather Bypass - Do I Need It

Transbuilderguy is building me a Level 4.5 and I am going to install a TruCool 30K.

Being the builder, I'm sure he is the 1st guy to ask but I don't want to bug him on the weekend so I want to toss it up here. Anticipation eh?

I live almost in N GA about 40 miles above Atlanta and we see stints of the cold stuff here but nothing long term or deep like further up north.

30k instead of the 40k because of installation room (3/4" thick vs. 1-1/4"), I run a Stock Stall Circle-D, never tow, never run it at the track, I just bang her around town and such.
Would a Cold Weather Bypass be over kill here?

FYI = Below is a pic from a post here I put up when I upgraded my HX.
The lower pics show it installed as is with the grill off.
I can move it forward 1".
With the 30k being 3/4" thick I may not have to move the HX. I'll be bypassing the radiator too.

Thanks,

I installed many TruCool 40k's in Alaska, never installed the bypass, and never had any issues.

I put a simple piece of reflective insulation in front of my transcooler in the winter, but I'm pretty sure that the winter I am exposed to is much worse than yours.
