I'm thinking about getting a DETROIT TRUETRAC come May. What else is needed for proper install beside's the system? Anyone have any idea the aprox. install price on one of these systems?

great choice, If considering a gear swap in the future i would do it now to save on install charges in the future

I would get an install kit, Yukon makes a great install kit!

i think installs around here go for 350.00

do it before the G80 blows up, that way you dont run the risk of it taking out your gears too. that's what i plan on doing. also you can sell the G80 on ebay.

Yeah, after me and joshluther put my Tru-trac I can see why shops charge quite a bit to install gear. Swapped from 3.23's and a G80 to 4.10's and the tru-trac and yukon axles. We ended up having an issue with one of the bearing races and just so happened to have the right part sitting in a different rear end outside, someone was lookin out for us that night I guess. I'm not sure how much an install should cost but it might end up being easier to have a shop do it anyway considering they'll have the right stuff there to do it correctly, it'll save you the sweating.

Id rather just have it blow up...gears arent that much $$ anyways...good reason to go from 3:73 to 4:10's!
