Should be an easy U-joint question??
99 GMC Sierra extended cab 4x4. One piece Alum shaft.
U joint started squeaking and then a little vibration and I checked and sure enough it is the front U-joint.
Changin U-joints, not a problem.
Figuring out the correct one.......................................
I used to work for advance yrs ago so I know how to look up parts but because this truck is a 99 everything seems to be weird for it.
I went to advance and they/we could not figure out which joint fits it.
There are tons of listing for two piece shafts (advance told me there was no one piece for that yr LOL) but not one piece. And they list steel but not aluminum.
I was hoping this is easy. I tried searching and couldn't find the answer.
Any thoughts?

I am probably going to just have to pull it and take it in to match it up. But I would rather just get the right part number and order it from rock auto.
The thing that has always blown my mind is why there are sooooo many joints for similar applications. I mean it's a truck........unless it's a 1 ton or higher they should just all be the same.
Well except for alum vs steel shafts, that I get.
