Default Seriously dissapointed in bilstiens, now what?

Ive got a 5 inch lift rcsb nnbs. Angles are flat and perfect. I put bilstien 5100 in for the correct lift and they might as well be welded solid. The front is ok, but the back is horrible offroad. I mean friggin horrible. It is the stiffest truck ive ever been in. Is it because its a rcsb? Im looking into kings or fox custom valved and deaver springs. It rode nicer lowered lol. Im just kinda pissed after reading how bilstiens are like " riding on a cloud" which was total bs. Any ideas? Its very rocky in arizona and i want this thing to atleast ride kinda plush offroad!

If you still have torsion bars up front its going to ride like crap no matter what you do. For the rear I have bilstein 5100s in the rear as well and its much rougher then my coilovers in the front especially over washboard. I would really like a set of deavers and FOA bypasses but that will be aways away for me.

Do you have an add a leaf or a block in the rear for lift?

No torsion, 1500 nnbs. Its got the bilstien leveling struts set at "0". The rear is factory but does have 4" blocks which sucks. But yes across washboard it will rattle your teeth out lol. When I threw a bunch of weight in the back they rode awesome. I feel like i got the wrong ones for an Hd or something?

I have ridden in a few lifted trucks with bilsteins and havent cared for the ride, hence the reason i ended up with a set of ranchos on the back of my silverado, which is an nbs not an nnbs, but rear setups are identical, the 5100s do seem to be very stiff and unforgiving, interestingly they are the same part number for a 2500hd/3500 as they are for the 1500. The ranchos ride much better imo... had an opportuntiy to drive over some icy roads that were very reminiscent of a washboard today and the rear end behaved very well, was expecting the same feeling ypud described with the rattleing the teeth and feeling like the rear end was gonna come out from under me that i was used to in my truck... do you have traction bars or ldder bars by chance?

Nah no ladders or nothing. Im seriously considering switching to kings front and back that are adjustable and deaver springs. I drive ALOT on these rocky forrest roads and if I continue to drive on them my truck will fall apart lol. I also learned 20" wheels + offroad in rocks = bent wheels and chewed up tires. Just ordered me some 17x9 -12 wheels and 315/70r17s cant wait!

Yeah 5100's are not the shock of choice here either..... both my 04 and 05 have had them and both rode like ****.... and had a rear shock start leaking very early in life.... Not my cup of tea.

Theres a bunch of places you can buy them from online if you google. But you will need to measure whatever shocks you have in it now so you know what size to order.
