My shocks were blown on my truck, figured why the hell not put ridetech shocks on the rear to go with the coilovers up front lol

I have to have them pretty stiff but the difference is noticeable. The front is just way too low so hopefully I'll have time to raise it up this weekend then I'll be cherry

Are you bottoming them out a lot? I have the ds301 and 1300# 7" hyperCo coil I'm about to install next month.

I don't believe I have yet. Just that the travel is so short. I do baby it over bumps more than I did with the torsion bars.

Really lately I've been researching more on converting the rear too. And body dropping with S10 mounts.

I would worry about the strength of the aftermarket arms. The shock mounts look thin on them. Maybe look at strong arms they're built to carry the weight.

I'm running djm 3" drop lca I was going to re-enforce the shock mount on them, but do I use the same procedure to measure what length I coilover I need? Or should I just get some stock lca? What drop would I get with the stock lca and the coilovers? 2"?

With my first set up (first post) it was a 3" drop with the coil-overs alone, and with spindles I was at 5" drop. As for using DJM LCA's, yes you would measure the same way, but don't they recommend against using any sort of drop spring with those to begin with? Not sure I would be comfortable running that setup (unless you went with a stock length coil-over).

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I was thinking that too and I only want a 2 or 3 inch drop like it has now. So if I run the stock LCAs and the 2.5x10 coilover with the #850 spring I should be at about the same drop correct? And you still haven't had any issues with the mounting?

Ya that should get you what you want.

I put a decent amount of miles (11k iirc) on the stock LCAs w/coils, before I swapped over to Ridetech's setup, and never had any issues. Same goes for the upper shock mount too.
