I don't need helper springs they don't fall out just driving around, only when you put the truck in the air. Regardless I ordered some 14"x650# springs to try.
Have you looked into getting some different springs? Eibach makes a 12" 900# spring. Eibach Coil-Over Springs 1200.250.0900S - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing

I never had play in mine.

I always question db rods on my setup being ideal. Curious to see how you like this setup now. I always wanted to swap to a longer setup.

It rides better with the longer/softer spring.

Playing around in the canyons is better too, basically before with the higher spring rates it didn't have very good control over rough patches/bumps, the 14" spring is more compliant and lets the suspension do a better job at keeping the tire in contact with the road.

Overall I'm very happy with the way it rides/handles now, and I don't feel the need to change anything (in the front at least).

Although a part of me wants to put ShockWaves on so I can be as low as I want and still be able to lift it on the fly for speed bumps/driveways and the like.

It will never end. I am lifting my 16 Tacoma soon with a coilover setup. Most likely Icon.

Where did you buy the 14" 650# springs? The highest rate I see is on amazon and it's 600#.
