2007 gmc rcsb classic going to install my ls2 and 4l60 out my Camaro in truck. the engine made 450rwhp in Camaro thru the 4l60 and 9in with 4.10s. my ? is what gear for truck with trutrac and will the factory rear hold up or should I look for a stronger rear. the truck is just going to be street toy and drove a lot might see track 1 or 2 times year.

Stock rearends on these trucks are the 8.6 10 bolt. Plenty of people on here pushing 800hp+ on them. Depending on your tire size and what the intended use is

Smaller than 31" tire go 3.73
Taller than 31" tire go 4.10
Taller than 34" tire go 4.56

I copied this ^^^ off a different post.

Personally i run 4.10s on a 31" tire and when i daily drove it in the city it helped a ton but on the highway im seeing 2300rpm at 70mph.

I thought mine was holding up until I discovered a twisted axle. One more hard hook and it probably would have snapped. Need 9"
