yeah im going to get the weight and go from there but from what i seen online 600 or 650 should be ok for the qa1's thats what they list for big block cars with front end weight 2200 to 2400 lbs i'm guessing thats going to be around what the front weight of the truck is?

ridetech is a true coilover so there spring rates are not the same as the qa1's since there like a hybrid coilover

My 99 rcsb was over 3000lb on the front tires.

I bite, what's a true coilover vs a hybrid coilover? The spring has no idea what shock is inside it.

3000lb wow 2wd or 4wd?

true coil over the spring is mounted on the shock, the hybrid the springs bottom is mounted on the shock and the upper part on the chassis in the stock coil spring location (just what i'm seeing online)

I have never seen a "coilover" like that, what shocks are you looking at? The QA1 DS series definitely has the spring mounted on both ends to the shock.

Mine is 4wd and had some turbo stuff in the front as well. Not uncommon to be that heavy.

Oh wow, so this whole time I thought you were talking about your 87, but you actually mean your 04?

If you didnt already have the shocks I would say if you can wait a couple weeks I have a design for a bolt in bracket kit that lets you use the normal heim mount instead of the tbar mount on the bottom of the 2wd trucks and reinforces that area and I am also a dealer for viking shocks so I could put a whole kit together for you.

yeah the 87 is long gone lol the 04 is the new project

i really wasn't financially ready to go coilover since i have the 6.2 at the machine shop and my z06 needs some work but like i said this pair came up (both for less then the cost of plain shocks) so i jumped on them since i really want to lower this truck any way and i already have a flip kit and the djm arms couple more things and i can get the stance right. my son has a 94 he might be interested in vikings

Can you shoot me some pictures of where the shock attachs to the DJM arms? Trying to figure out if that area is completely flat unlike the factory arms which have a step in them.
