qa1's coilover spring rate 2wd rcsb
hey all
I picked up a pair of GS501's QA1's and need to order springs for them not sure on what # spring to go with? 500? 600? 650? or?
2004 2wd rcsb plans include ls3/4l80e turbo hopefully within the next year have DJM 2" drop arms and a flip kit so probably be 4/6ish drop once all installed

I have a gauge for that

Because your ride height determines what shock to use and where in that shocks travel you need to sit to get the static height correct. Then there is the dynamic considerations that also play into getting it right and this depends on what kind of responsivness you want (cushy or sports car like). It is how you decide between, for example, a 200lb spring with 4" of preload or a 800lb spring with 1" of preload. Same static height but very different driving feel.

ok gotcha!
from what i've read the qa1's are going to get me 2" drop and the arms another 2" or at least around that much
as for ride i'd like it to be sporty with out any bump steer or me getting bounced out of the seat lol my last truck was 5/7 and i tried to play with shocks and even swapped front coil springs out but never really found a ride i was happy with it was more like settled, every one raves about the coilovers so thought i've give it a try this time also plan on relocating the rear shocks
