Default Is this possible? My luck I'm assuming

So truck info is a 99 ecsb gmc 2wd (new style) anyhow I have a Flt lvl 5 -

I bought a yank sc3000 off a member here out of his ls2 gto

Well today I tore my truck apart thinking any 60/65/70e converter will be interchangeable -
The pilot pin on the converter won't go into my crank- so I have a gap between the wings of the converter to the flex plate. What did I miss?
I had them side by side looked good to go other than the sc3000 had rust on the pilot , maybe tolerance issue?

I was doing good to at 1:30 started tear down- stopped working on it at 4:45 with it all installed to find out the converter not sliding into crank fml - my luck sucks these days

Is your truck a 1500? Or 2500?

Did you physically measure the Pilot?

The rust could be causing an issue and the pilot may need to be polished to clean it up.

No I did not measure- I thought about it but never heard of 60,65,70e being different.

Out of all the reading I've never seen the pilot being different sizes between gen 3 and 4

I don't think they are but you mentioned rust. I was afraid it would interfere with it going in.
