Default Performabuilt 4l60e no 1st gear

Hello all, new on here. I bought a Performabuilt tranny last November and lost 1st gear after about 2500 miles. It's not limp mode, I'm 100% sure. I have 2,3,4, and lock up. If I take off in D, I'm in 4th. I can manually pull down but only into 2nd, manually to 3rd etc etc. I replaced the solenoids, hoping for quick fix and checked 1-2 accumulator, no dice. Any ideas?

I spoke to them. They asked what codes I had. I have no codes, I have never had any codes. That was over 2 months ago and I haven't heard back.

talk to frank. I had something similar years ago and he had me add a washer to the servo and it cured everything.

Frank you say, is he at Performabuilt? It just boggles my brain why it worked so well for 4-5 months and then just...poof. I've found quite a few posts on various sites with the same problem but there's never a resolution. Thanks for the reply

Just an update. I can drive this thing fine, shifting manually 2-3-4 but it won't kickdown at all. No codes. My gauges work. So irritating. Frank if you're around, love to hear from you brudda.

Have you got a scan tool on your vehicle that shows trans data? That would the first place to start. Does it show you if you have power to both the a and b solenoids? What does it say for the actual gear commanded? If all the data appears correct I would be looking at an internal issue like an issue in the 1-2 accumulator or in the servo assembly.

I've had a retired GM tech bring over a really slick wireless scanner, kinda looks like an iPad. And he's energized both solenoids (and I've replaced them) and "electronically" the transmission is working perfectly. The 1-2 accumulator is good, I've checked it out. If it were a solenoid wouldn't I be down 2 gears? Not just 1st. It better not be internal I paid a lot for this thing! It has about 2500 miles on it! And Performabuilt has been zero help, my only fear when I bought this.
